The Intern, North American Football is responsible for contributing to the global Integrated Comms (IC) strategies and how we communicate across multiple verticals (Social, PR, Influencer)  about our Madden NFL and EA SPORTS College Football titles as the intern on the North American Football Integrated Communications team. You will work with each of the IC leads (Social, PR, Community, Influencer) on positioning, content and data around the narrative for your titles. You will develop trust with cross functional partners – Brand, Creative Strategy, Production and other marketing team members – through transparent and purposeful communications while working on key campaign initiatives.

Responsibilities

Social Media

  • Work with Madden HD social lead to update internal and partner social content calendars
  • Measures and contributes to reports on individual campaign beats for our HD, MCS and MUT social channels
  • Research industry trends, brand social post strategy and moments where Madden should show up
  • Support social managers with day to day content needs for social


PR

  • Support the PR Lead with the development of the public relations plans for Madden NFL and EA SPORTS College Football in partnership with EA Tiburon and EA SPORTS marketing teams.
  • Contribute to PR plans that result in positive coverage and conversations about North American football titles  
  • Management of external-facing communications materials including press releases, messaging documents, blogs, fact sheets and more.
  • Helps coordinate and provide interview prep support for media interviews with Sr. Leaders and C-suite level executives when needed
  • Measures and contributes to reports on each PR campaign and their individual campaign beats


Community

  • Operate key platforms, delivering important deliverables from the global community and influencer plan.
  • Assist with communications around game and live service issues: Bugs, Cheats, Outages, Support Issues and General Feedback.
  • Build close relationships between EA and top brand ambassadors and players.
  • Be a conscientious partner for internal cross functional teams. 


Requirements

  •         2+ years of experience in a public relations or integrated communications role, working within the sports, entertainment or video game industry
  •       Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field
  •       High ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage numerous projects simultaneously, while prioritizing high-return work.
  •       A self-starter with a passion for storytelling and a great attention to detail
  •       Manage multiple priorities and achieve high-quality results on time.
  •       Familiar with EA, our games, and the gaming industry.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The hourly pay ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the hourly pay range for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, degree type (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), what stage you are in your degree journey (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.), qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.


HOURLY PAY RANGES

º $20 – $31
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $19 – $25
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $27 – $31
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $20 – $25
• Jersey City, NJ :
º $27 – $31

The hourly pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated based on scheduled hours per week if less than full-time), 16 paid company holidays per year, medical insurance, and 401(k).
